The Best Western Chemainus Festival Inn is a "strata-hotel" where each guest suite is a separate real estate 'parcel' that carries a unique legal descriptor and is individually owned. Collectively, all strata lot/guest suite owners hold an interest in the Strata Corporation VIS5722, the entity overseeing all common spaces and grounds of the the hotel. Each owner/investor has assigned their unit into a 'rental pool' which is managed on their behalf by Ashler Hospitality Corporation, a professional hotel management company. In return for a management fee, Ashler oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the hotel and undertakes all marketing, maintenance and accounting responsibilities while the owners/investors share all income generated by the hotel operations.
Occasionally, individual guest suites are made available for sale by their owners. Currently, the following units are offered for sale:
Suite 410 - Asking $125,000 (inclusive of related fees in this private sale)
Suite 420 - Asking $94,000. Contact the owner at kjh141@shaw.ca

“Invest in a lifestyle that is the envy of the world”
Clean air pristine lakes and rivers, secluded beaches, towering forests… welcome to Vancouver Island-voted the #1 temperate island in the world by readers of Conde Nast Trace Traveler magazine.
Welcome to our little town of Chemainus in south central Vancouver Island - Cowichan Region and in the Chemainus Valley. It’s a region that lives up to its name "the warm land" with the mildest climate in Canada. That is the place for year-round living in Canada.
And there’s so much living to do! Whether outdoors or in you are sure to find real treasures. Flowers bloom year round. Some of the most spectacular gardens in the world can be found here. And beaches? None finer anywhere, from the thundering waves of long beach to the quiet coves up and down the island, there’s always an adventure or a quiet stroll around the next Corner.
It is a region renowned for its artists. Painters, potters, glass blowers jewelers, carvers, weavers, soup makers from magical places like Salt Spring Island. Hand crafted goat’s cheese, organic produce, herbs-basil, tarragon, and lavender- the smells, the tastes. Poke about the hundreds of shops on the islands or go right to the artist’s studio to fill your baskets. The flower lined streets of Chemainus have some of the best little shops on the island. Visit the Gallery at Chemainus Theatre where we feature over 100 BC artists. If you are looking for antiques, best to start right here in town. You may find you have time (and money) left over for a double scoop of mocha chocolate surprise.
Need a little exercise? There are 23 golf courses within one hour of Chemainus and a beautiful course that’s an easy seven iron (ok, maybe a five) from the front door of Chemainus Festival inn. Oh and you can golf year –round. How about a hike? Mountain meadows, boardwalk trails through old-growth forests, secluded beaches, or a local path (including our world-famous mural tour). What ever your preference, there are endless trails to explore. And be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for some of the more that 380 species of feather friends that love the region too.
Did someone ask for water? This is the place to fish, saltwater or fresh, they are always biting, power or sail, canoe or kayak, and this is a boater’s paradise. The endless sheltered bays and lagoons and miles of open water will lead you to as much adventure or peace and quiet as you can handle. Do watch for our resident pod of orcas breaching in the waters off the Saanich Peninsula to the south of us. In the spring 20,000 pacific gray whales grace our west coast on their way to Alaska.
Of all the Treasures on Vancouver Island none shines brighter than the Chemainus Theatre Festival. Each year we present five professionally mounted main stage productions, a series for children and theatre in –the- park. Come for dinner or lunch in the “playbill” dining room then sit back in our intimate theatre and let us entertain you. Some of BC’s and Canada’s most accomplished actors, directors and designers come together at the festival to create astounding live theatre.
